Earlier this month my little babies turned one year old. Half of me can’t believe it’s already been a year, but the other half can’t imagine life before them. Although I’ve posted recipes for dog treats before, their birthday celebration warranted something a little more festive – pupcakes!
I made them in a mini muffin pan since Franklin and Piper are small, but you could scale up to a full size pupcake if you’re baking for a larger dog. These little treats take minutes to make and you likely already have all the ingredients on hand. I guarantee your dog with love them and there’s really nothing stopping you from sneaking one too…
Peanut Butter Banana Pupcakes
Yield: 24 mini pupcakes
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Preheat the oven to 350ºF and lightly grease a mini muffin tin.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the mashed banana, peanut butter, and eggs until well combined. Add the dry ingredients and stir until incorporated. Divide the batter evenly throughout the muffin tin and bake for 10-12 minutes, until set.
Transfer the pupcakes to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.
