With two days until Super Bowl Sunday, it’s about time you decide on a signature cocktail. If you’re like me, you want to find a way to dress up even the most casual of gatherings, and that usually means elevated food and drinks choices. To avoid offending the traditionalist beer-drinkers or creating a drink that’s far too fancy for a day of football watching, turn to this beer margarita.
Even as a non-beer drinker, I can tell you it’s delicious. I like my margaritas pretty tart, so of course adjust the quantities of lime juice and simple syrup to fit your taste. If you squeeze plenty of lime juice before everyone arrives, these will be a breeze to mix up throughout the afternoon.
- 2 12-ounce bottles of Corona
- 1/2 cup tequila
- 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
- 4 teaspoons simple syrup
- Ice, coarse salt & lime wedges, for garnish
Gently mix all ingredients together and pour into four margarita glasses with salted rims. Enjoy!
