It’s officially Super Bowl week! I mean to be honest I’m not exactly a sports person, I’m really just there for the commercials and the food. Like I usually have to ask the day before who’s actually playing in the game… Since I know I’m totally not alone in that, I’m sharing a few little tips for creating a fun, football-themed, Super Bowl day.
First off, I challenge you to get a little more creative than beer, chips and pizza this year. I’m certainly not implying that pizza isn’t the most delicious thing in the entire world or that you should miss out on cheesy and indulgent snacks, but there’s plenty of other fish in the sea. I opted for two-bite mac and cheese cups (this recipe, baked in mini muffin tins), sweet potato gratin bites (thinly sliced sweet potato, layered in a muffin tin with cheese and pancetta), and a healthy-ish General Tso’s cauliflower dish (recipe coming later this week).
I typically lean towards simplistic decor, so I thought this football field runner and football confetti made the perfect backdrop for a Super Bowl spread. No party is really complete without killer photo opps, so I couldn’t resist these Super Bowl themed props. They’re perfect for accessorizing your tablescape or creating your own photo booth setup.
Don’t forget to check back on Wednesday for General Tso’s cauliflower and on Friday for a tasty (I promise) beer margarita recipe!
