Fall is a mere week away, which means it’s almost time to break out pants again! I’m fortunate enough to work in an office that allows a causal dress code, so I’m able to wear most of my summer dresses in the warmer months and jeans come winter (not the norm for a financial firm). That said, I try to keep my outfits looking chic and pulled together, even though I’m not required to dress up each day.
The perfect way to wear jeans in a dressier way? Chic black skinny jeans. They could almost pass as slacks in a business casual environment, and are easy to dress down on the weekends, too. These Banana Republic ones are made of super stretchy material and I’ve been wearing them constantly for close to three years now. I paired them with a slightly structured top and the added volume helps to create a multi-dimensional, sophisticated look.
You may already know I have a penchant for timeless and versatile pieces, so my wardrobe is filled with neutral hues and classic shapes that are worth investing in. Most importantly – these shoes. I bought them last year when I was in the market for a new pair of black pumps, and was instantly drawn to the added texture on these ones. I adore Stuart Weitzman as a brand and all of their shoes I own are my most comfortable pairs. These ones come in several colors and textures, and the shape of them creates one of the cleanest looking pumps I’ve seen.
I recently discovered the brand Matt & Nat and instantly ordered this tote. They use all faux leather (read: great price point) but their designs look so much more expensive and luxurious. They offer so many great options for classic handbags, if you know, you can’t shell out the cash for this one…
