Happy first day of summer! I’m bringing out some strong summer spirit today by sharing the first photos from our time in Sayulita last week. Although if you follow along on Instagram or Snapchat (jill.stevens), you saw the real-time action. Unfortunately, it had to be a quick trip for us (we were only there for three nights), but since we flew in for my brother-in-law’s wedding, all three nights were filled celebrations surrounded by family and friends.
This look is what I wore to the rehearsal dinner on our first night there, which took place at their rental at Las Hamacas. I found this dress on ASOS months ago and knew I wanted it instantly. It’s simple and chic enough to warrant fun shoes, but the subtle embroidery makes it unique. I also love the silhouette created by the looser sheer top, over the fitted black slip. Sayulita is such a crazy colorful town, so I wanted something that played into that, without going overboard.
Since this dress and these shoes are almost sold out online, I’ve also linked some similar styles below. This is probably a good time to take a moment and tell you how much I love Schutz shoes. They not only have some really beautiful classics, but an incredible selection of trendy and creative shoes. Bonus points for being moderately priced and comfortable, too.
p.s. please excuse the quality of these photos – technical difficulties 🙂 Happy summer shopping!
